Since I was nine or ten, I have scrapbooked.

It started with a big screwpost album with black pages. I worked with a gluestick and a silver pen. I loved the idea of saving photographs and scraps of paper. I wanted to go places and plan events just so I had something to make a layout about.

I still use gluesticks. I still plan stuff just to make stuff. But I have absolutely changed my method of documention. One of my primary methods is to create little books. Small scrapbooks that can be started and finished on the same day OR serve as a collection center for a variety of photos, paper + words over time.

My books usually focus on a single idea or event. They are sometimes linked by color or a season. They can be very simple or very involved. There are over 60 of these books in my collection and I currently store them in four large baskets. Each book tells a story and each book is unique. They are my absolute favorite craft project.

I have created a catalog of minibooks that you can view here.
